本网讯 6月19日下午，哈佛大学中国文学研究教授、汉学家伊维德(Wilt L. Idema)受邀来校讲座。我校党委书记、校长隋广军会见了伊维德。国际合作与交流处处长蔡红、翻译学院院长赵军峰、翻译学院党委书记刘志军等陪同会见，并出席了本次讲座。

隋广军代表学校对伊维德的到来表示热烈欢迎。他指出，在推进“一带一路”建设的过程中，将中国文化翻译到国外、讲实讲好中国故事意义重大。他认为此次讲座对当代中国年轻人讲好讲实中国故事具有重要的推进和提升作用。

伊维德结合自己翻译中国文学的丰富经验，以“汉学家的反思: 如何使我们所选的中文文本及其译文被西方的出版商和读者所接受”为主题深入探讨文学翻译。他主要从译者对源语言语言文化的精通、对目标语言语言文化的精通和对所翻译作品的热爱三个方面入手，探讨了西方商业出版社在出版中国文学作品翻译时有限销售的原因。他分析欧洲和美国出版行业的不同之处以及出版中国文学作品的翻译现状，并结合自己多年翻译中国文学的实践经验，给出了翻译文学作品时不要尝试提升原文、翻译诗歌时不要试图制造押韵的翻译等一些建议。

主讲人简介：

Wilt Idema studied Chinese Language and Culture at Leiden University (the Netherlands). Following continued study in Sapporo, Kyoto and Hong Kong in the years 1968-1970, he taught at the same institution from 1970 till 1999, from 1976 in the capacity of Professor of Chinese Language and Literature. From 2000 till 2013 he taught at Harvard University as Professor of Chinese Literature. Currently he is Research Professor of Chinese Literature at Harvard. His research has been focused mostly on the vernacular traditions of Chinese literature (narrative ballads, drama, and fiction) of the period 900-1900. Often in collaboration with colleagues he has published over twenty volumes of English-language translations of pre-modern Chinese literature. For his many Dutch-language translations from Chinese poetry and prose he received in 1992 the Martinus Nijhoff Award (the Dutch national translation award). In 2015 he received the Chinese Special Book Award for his contributions to the translation and distribution of Chinese books.
